Bell ringer 1/30

would 2 inches do that here? Two inches wouldn't effect most drivers around here, we are smart enough to buy vehicles with 4-wheel drive capabilities, but we also have those few drivers who are afraid to drive regardless of the weather.

can you imagine living in a place where nobody is used to the snow? I wouldn't care, if they aren't use to snow that means they normally have warm winters. Fine with me.

do you find these stories funny, appalling, sad? I find them humorous because I am use to the snow.

is the coach justified in suing the player? if not where do we draw the line with lawsuits? We live in a society that thinks about nothing but law suits, in today's time this is justifiable. Back in the "Golden Days" people would've just cussed a little bit and moved on.

Does this study surprise you why or why not? It doesn't surprise me, we all know the risks of sexual activity so if you go out and get pregnant, it's your problem.

Have you seen the same effects within Barbour County as the study claims is happening throughout the nation. No, your always gonna have teens with snot noses running around.

1-13 bellringer

are you ok with this representation of west Virginia? if not how would you like West Virginia represented? I don't see anything wrong with our representation, accidents happen. Sometimes the accidents can be detrimental, such as this one, but as far as the representation of our state within the article I do not see anything wrong. Most of what I have read in the comments section has been a main source of people unhappy with the government reign over "safety" and "tyranny" by making everything a government issue. Truth is, this isn't a government issue. The people in the comments about having too much government are correct. The government is becoming overpowering, to involved in business that is none of their concern. Let the people handle their corporations, handle their jobs (regardless of any risks). Government, stay out of our jobs and do your own. This country has more important things to worry about than who might get hurt coal mining.

Bell Ringer for 1-10

  1. Do you think Russian security forces will be able to help keep the fans and athletes safe in the Sochi Olympics? Nope, if somebody so desired as to cause harm to other, they could.
  2. In light of the recent bombings and terrorist threats would you go to Sochi given the chance? I wouldn't. you are safer staying in your own country rather than traveling to another.
