notes on making a differences

Annie Beacant- She was born 10/1/1847, Was a womens rights activist.
Leon Sullivan- civil rights leader, Born 10/16/1922 Minister at age 18
Ansel Adams- Born 2/20/1902 Was diagnosed hyperactive and dyslexic. at age 12 he learned to play piano
Susan B Anthony- Fought to end slavery. Got put in prison for not paying fines.
Indira Ghandhi- Third prime minister. Her dad was the first prime minister of India.
Rachel Carson- Did not agree with synthetic chemical pesticides. She died of breast cancer in 1964.
Caesar Chavez- Born March 21,1927. Was a mexican-american pressured the mexicans to vote.
Roger Baldwin- Born January 26-1864. Earned Bachelor's degree at Harvard. Spent a year in prison for not sending in draft papers.
Eva Perone- Born may 7,1919 in Argentina. Died with uterine cancer. Took her 20 years to be buried after death.
Akbar- Born october 15, 1542. Died in 1605. He began a military conquest and conquered many lands.
Jane Adams- September 6, 1860. A big womens rights activist. A pioneer social worker in America.
John Muir- Was an author, inventor and naturalist. 1849 Muir's family came to american near Michigan.
Deganawinda- Name means two river currents flowing together. Put an end to cannibalism in indian tribes.
W.E.B Debois- One of the co-founders of NAACP. Died of old age at age 95.
Jacquie questaue- Born june 11, 1911. Had his own boat named the calypso.
Ida B Wells- Born July 16 1862. Her parents and brother will killed by the yellow fever.
