To whom it may concern, the editor (Ms. Carpenter), many individuals find this "discrimination" activity to be a waste of quality class time and an abuse of power. The power in you are currently using in which we can only talk when we ask permission, some students are only able to write responses or anything to be said, and there are a couple other hindrances to our learning capabilities. Some student may not be as inclined to ask questions based upon their limitations to communication through your educational efforts. This may cause student to retain less information because they may not ask questions to give them a better understanding of the material to be retained.
Another problem that may be faced is the initial change of education in the classroom, students are not subjected to this style of learning in any other classroom, because we have been introduced into a change of education some students may stress which could be another cause of interference to an individuals academic performance.
We have been split off into races which are not our own, we have been titled as an unequal in the classroom losing our previous rights. This could be seen as defamation of character. Defamation could be a criminal or civil charge. You (being the educator) may have the upper hand on a defamation case. But the actions could still be seen as unjust.
In the Barbour county schools policy book, policy 2300 - 4.2.2 states "has the purpose or effect of substantially or unreasonably interfering with an individual's work or academic performance." Which has been mentioned in the previous paragraphs above that an individuals academic performance may be at risk. This is the reason why we should put a halt on the current learning style.
